I am currently the Organist and Choirmaster at the historic St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in St. Petersburg, Florida. The oldest church in Pinellas County, Florida.  I previously served as Music Associate/Assistant Organist at First Presbyterian Church in Kirkwood, (St. Louis) Missouri where I helped  lead a growing music ministry where I directed the churches three handbell choirs, and assisted with the adult and children vocal choirs and concert series.

I was an adjunct faculty member at St. Charles Community College where I was nominated for Adjunct Faculty of the Year.  I taught courses in Music Theory, Sightsinging, Ear Training, Music History, Conducting, Music Typography, and private applied lessons in organ and piano. I also was on the faculty at the University of Missouri – St. Louis as a Piano Specialist in the music department primarily as the instrumental accompanist, and an adjunct faculty member at Lindenwood University where I taught Music Theory. My church music career includes being the organist/accompanist at St. John UCC in St. Charles, Missouri and was Director of Music for eighteen years for Lutheran Churches in the St. Louis area. I spent two seasons as the Artistic Director for the Choral Art Singers in St. Charles County, Missouri.

I was privileged to have some truly great teachers.  I studied choral conducting with Dr. James Henry, conductor of the Ambassadors of Harmony and head of the choral department at the University of Missouri – St. Louis, instrumental conducting with Dr. Paul Davis at Webster University, organ and composition with Dr. Barbara Harbach. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Organ Performance from the University of Missouri – St. Louis, and a Masters of Music in Organ Performance from Webster University in St. Louis where I studied with William Partridge, Canon Precentor at Christ Church Cathedral in St. Louis, where I also volunteered as the assistant choirmaster for many of their Evensong services.

As a performer I’ve appeared on the Radio Arts Foundation’s radio program The King of Instruments, the Sheply Concert Series (Christ Church Cathedral), Conspirito Concert Series, (First Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood) the Joy of Music Series (Manchester UMC), as well as working with the Organ Media Foundation to present unique and interesting instruments and Your Sunday Service, demonstrating accessible church music.

In 2017 I wrote an original score for Margaret Atwood’s play The Penelopiad. I have been a presenter at the St. Louis Chapter of the American Guild of Organist’s January Jubilee, the Missouri Choral Directors Associations Summer Conference and on the faculty of the University of Missouri - St. Louis Summer Keyboard Camp.
